Updated 3/19/2025| 9am — The power is currently out at our King Mountain transmitter site, and the device that normally switches our system from the main power to a generator is not working at this time. A crew is on site today, Wednesday, March 19, to work on restoring services.

Updated 3/17/25 | 2PM — The internet feed responsible for providing audio to 1300 AM continues to experience issues, which currently can only be corrected onsite. Our engineer will be travelling to the site on Tuesday, March 18 to restore service and reinstate remote control of the site so that these kinds of issues can be addressed from a distance.

Updated 03/07/2025 — The parts have arrived to repair the antenna interlock system that has been intermittently failing, taking our News & Information service on 1280 AM off the air. The new parts will enable our engineers to make lasting repairs.

Pacific Power has increased precautionary measures in light of heightened wildfire risk, resulting in more frequent outages across JPR's listening region.

JPR has completed acquisition of two new FM stations that will improve its service in Siskiyou County. Effective immediately, the following FM stations will carry JPR's News and Information Service:KSYC-FM | Yreka | 103.9 FMKHWA | Mt. Shasta/Weed | 102.3 FMConsecutive with the sign-on of these new stations, JPR will discontinue operation of KSYC-AM/Yreka on 1490 AM and its FM translator at 97.9 FM.
