Don Woodard is an internationally recognized artist who has the unique ability to carve by hand, very detailed, High & Low Relief, Mixed Media images, in select woods. He also has the painting skills to highlight or detail the carvings into works of fine art.
About the Art: Don’s subject matter is wide-ranging, including wildlife, western images, images of Hawaii, and various landscapes, that are reflective of his interests. Many of his western scenes represent events, adventures, and misadventures, that he has experienced while leading pack-horse trips into the Rocky Mountain Wilderness for over 40 years. Don is also very happy to create a commissioned work of art to tell YOUR STORY!
Greg NavratilFrom Gearhart, Oregon he lives in a historical two-room schoolhouse.
Growing up in Denver, he was first recognized as an artist at the age of 7 when he had a drawing published in the Denver Post. This interest continued throughout his school years and he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Metropolitan State University in Denver.
He creates paintings that concentrate on the abstract and chaotic qualities of nature. The surfaces are covered from edge to edge, and your eyes are invited to wander. Colors are applied in thick layers, which appear haphazard up close, but from a distance, the viewer’s eye mixes the colors to form recognizable shapes.
This exhibit is called Minutiae en Masse and it exemplifies the finest of Greg’s art. While the individual colors are small – some of the paintings are very large. It is definitely, eye candy in the most luxurious sense.
